The
secure, peaceful environment on the hill reinforces many of the
core
values espoused by the Sisters of Saint Joseph-- unity, reconciliation,
peace, hospitality, and nonviolence. At BHS, these values begin
to take root among residents as well. They flourish as individuals
or families and begin to grow and develop mutually supportive
peer relationships. They become involved in residential concerns,
communal activities and participate in a variety of individualized
educational programs -all designed to reinforce improved self-worth
and meaningful change.
